biography

I was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. and lived on an elongated sand bar attached to Long Island called Belle Harbor - which was 5 streets wide with the Atlantic Ocean on one side and the Jamaica bay on the other - reached only by bridges.

After too much education I went to Europe and ended up in London. My old family house in which I no longer lived was destroyed by a Europe-bound passenger flight landing on it. As it is said, one can't go home again.

About painting: I believe painting is a type of visual communication, a short hand for what an artist sees, feels and thinks. It is like a personal letter to every viewer which I hope can be seen with understanding, interest and perhaps even enjoyment.
